My Claddagh Ring

I wanted to do tell you about my claddagh ring. I will be wearing it all the time, so I thought telling you what it is might be good :) The first time I heard about Claddagh ring I was amazed. I found it so romantic and I wanted to get one so badly. Here is wikipedia's explanation of the ring. 

"The Claddagh's distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). A Claddagh ring have come to denote pride in Irish heritage, while continuing to be symbols of love or marriage.

Claddagh rings are most commonly used as engagement/wedding rings In Ireland. The way a Claddagh ring was worn on the hand was usually intended to convey the wearer's relationship status, according to Irish author Colin Murphy:

1. On the right hand with the point of the heart toward the fingertips, the wearer is single and may be looking for love.
2. On the right hand with the point of the heart toward the wrist, the wearer is in a relationship (suggesting their heart has been "captured").
3. On the left hand with the point of the heart toward the fingertips, the wearer is engaged.
4. On the left hand with the point of the heart toward the wrist, the wearer is married."

My ring is a gift, becasue it's bad luck to buy your own Claddagh ring. I love it so much, it looks so elegant. There are different designs of the Claddagh ring, my one had a celtic band and its 9kt gold. I find 24k too shiny so 9 is perfect. 

We will see if the ring will change position or even hands anytime soon:)
